Maiju Tanninen

Maiju Tanninen (Tampere University) is a PhD researcher in sociology interested in the intersection of health, technology and private insurance. In her PhD project, she studies the imaginaries, practices and experiences related to “smart” or “behaviour-based” insurance products that combine self-tracking technologies with life insurance. Tanninen has academic background in science and technology studies and insurance and risk management. She is also an active member in the Finnish Society for Science and Technology Studies.
