Dale Leorke is a postdoctoral researcher at Tampere University, Finland. His research examines the intersection of networked technologies and urban policy.
He is the author of “Location-based Gaming: Play in Public Space” (Palgrave, 2018) and co-author of “Public Libraries in the Smart City” (Palgrave, 2018).
His current research focuses on smart city technologies, open data initiatives, and the impact of digitisation on public libraries. Previously he completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne in Australia, where he was also an external research consultant in State Government Victoria’s Department of Premier and Cabinet open data team.
