Eddine Sarroukh is Senior Advisor on Innovation & Technology in the UN Kenya Resident Coordinator’s Office. He has over 20 years of experience in end-user-centric innovation and claim validation and data driven research. Before joining the UN, he was heading Philips Africa Innovation Hub, based in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, Eddine established the Africa Innovation Hub for Philips in Nairobi leading a team of scientists in health research and innovation to address priority health and well-being needs in Africa. Eddine developed the first Community Life Center of Philips to enable access to care in remote areas. Currently he supports the implementation of the SDG Partnership Platform primary healthcare strategy, as well as be leading the design and operationalization of the SDG Accelerator Lab for Kenya, an aggregator for the various Government of Kenya and UN innovation initiatives ongoing to drive SDG impacts in the wider innovation ecosystem in Kenya. Eddine is an active promotor of innovation for the underserved, supported by his roles and memberships in industrial institutes such as board member of Engineering for Global Development. His multidisciplinary skills allow him to work with different competencies and co-create in a diversified ecosystem. Eddine holds a PhD in Technology in Applied Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
