Ana specialises in International and European Human Rights Law and International Migration. Her research focuses on the legal and ethical implications of digital technology, notably in relation to privacy, data protection, equality, non-discrimination, and due process in the digital sphere. In particular, she is interested in digital identity, and the uses of artificial intelligence and big data in the services sector, in the justice system, and in policy-making in the context of international migration.
